Jun 25, 2007 Super fruity aroma. Pours hazy orange with a nice pillowy head. Flavor is orange, clove, banana, and spices. Some subtle spicy hops leak through. Pretty heavy and complex. A pleasant offering.

Jun 23, 2007 Cork pops quite easily, lots of fluffy white foam that coats the glass with lacing as it slowly recedes; slightly hazy orange color. I can never find the right descriptors for the aroma of a saison, but I’ll try: smells slightly tart, a little pungent, a bit of honey sweetness, some soft, subtle spice, a little citrus fruit. Palate has some richness but also a lively carbonation. Taste is a little fruitier than the nose, the ginger comes out a little, the other spices are subdued, the finish is pretty long and both fruit and spice linger.

Jun 22, 2007 This was good. I wasn’t sure what it was while drinking it. Light, sweet hops in the aroma with citrus. Flavor has lemon, pine, and is fairly dry and moderately hopped. It is well hopped for the style, and seems to rely on hops rather than spices for flavor. Cloudy gold color. Thanks to Badgerben for sharing.

Jun 21, 2007 Standard yellowish-orange. Has a great ginger aroma but the taste is esters, esters, and more esters. Actually too many esters really. Aside from that you get all kinds of spices mixed in. I definitely tasted the ginger, the pepper, the grains of paradise, and the orange. Oh ... and did I mention the esters ....

Jun 20, 2007 750mL bottle, Pizza Port / Port Brewing event at Brickskeller. Pours a hazy, yellowish orange color; fluffy, off-white head that coats the interior of the glass forever. Pleasant bready, estery aroma. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: bread and esters upfront; nice chewy belgian profile with a very fluffy texture; creamy, vanilla-tinged saison. Lengthy, creamy and vanilla and biscuity finish.
