And yes, those burgers and pickle spears were delicious. anyways, to the beer. Poured a murky red brown. Aroma was nice funk, sour cherries, bit of sweetness. Taste was much the same, well balanced and very drinkable. nice smooth finish. Again, this didn’t not my socks off, but it was very enjoyable. PilsnerPeter (2667), Flushing, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 13, 2008 G.A.B.F. 2008: Pours a muddy maroon with a creamy tan head. The aroma is funky and infected- lots of oak, brie cheese sharpness, underlying maple and vanilla, a subtle raisin-like quality. The flavor is a drop less sour than the aroma suggests. Has a lactic acidity upfront, with a green apple skin note, plummy/toasted malt undertones and a solid toasted malt presence throughout. Complex, delicious, probably the best beer of the fest! I need a bottle! MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2008 The poured murky burnt red to brown in color with a very thin head that dissipated pretty quickly. The nose showed some funk along with red fruit and spice (cinnamon, pepper). In the mouth it was tart and dirty showing more funk than the nose would suggest along with less fruit. There was a distinct bitterness that began in the midpalate and lingers on. The acidity in the midpalate was very well integrated and overall the midpalate was well balanced but gave way to the bitterness in the finish. KimJohansen (7136), Copenhagen V, Denmark
