Tap. Lost Abbey Sinner’s and Saint’s party. This is one hell of a nice brew with a lot of sour funk. Pours red with a bright white ring. Nose is berry, fruity. Taste is sweet, tart vinous and really damn tasty.

Dec 7, 2009 (Draught) Pours a cloudy red body with a pinkish head. Aroma of cherry, orange, brandy, and vinous. Flavor of orange peel, vinous, cherry, earth, cranberries, lemon, and funky with a dry finish.

Nov 6, 2009 Sample @ BBF Night of the Funk. Pours deep red with an interesting pink head - definitely got the appearance to invoke sangria. Aroma is fruit and funk, all the way. Taste is very fruity up front with a sour, funky bite at the end that brings the whole thing together nicely. I didn’t find it as robust as some of their other offerings, but it was good and refreshing.

Pouring at the Night of the Funk event in Boston. Pours a beautiful crimson with a huge pink head. Fruit on the nose, raspberry, with a light funkiness. More fruit comes through in the mouth, with some nice sourness and great acid. A little thin, but really tasty.

Oct 25, 2009 Tap at Night of the Funk. Ruby red pour with a nice, light pink head. Light, floral strawberry sourness in the nose, super clean. The flavor is white berry (the juice, I guess, as I don’t think berries exist, which would mean this actually smelled more like green grape), with a balanced sourness, a touch of oak, actually kind of generic. Full bodied with a punchy peach finish. I tend to think this should fall under sour ale.

Oct 21, 2009 Sampled at Night of the Funk 2009:Hazy ruby pour with a pinkish head. Very fruity aroma- slightly candyish with apparent cranberry-like qualities. Fluffy body with a nice tart flavor. Fruity yet dry with again a cranberry character. Quite simple, yet refreshing and tart with no off flavors. Interesting experiment.

Oct 17, 2009 Sample at NotF. Pours a reddish hazy color with a small, clearish head. Nose is lightly fruity and a little musty. Palate is thin and crisp with a nice fizz. Flavors of various fruit and lightly sour.

Oct 11, 2009 My favorite at Lost Abbey’s Saints and Sinners party. Red. Tastes just like Sangria. Some hints of CdT as part of the blend. Light tartness. Fruity cherries and pineapple. Excellent.

Oct 11, 2009 On tap at the Sinner’s and Saint’s party. Pours a dark brownish-red with a white ring. Tart-fruity aroma, of berries, grapes, and malt. Taste is very tart, of cherry, grape, malt, yeast, and sugar. Lingering tart fruitiness. It would be very easy to drink a lot of this.
