Commercial Description:
The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Bottle from trade with MrHanky. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Nose is coffee, licorice, dark chocolate, spice, some hops, and notes of booze. This one could be a daily drinker, I think. Flavor is chocolate, licorice, coffee, roasted malt, booze, bitter chocolate with lots of dark bitterness. Full-bodied and very good stout.

Deep brown-black, oil thick. solid dirt brown head. Sweet aroma with a hint of alcohol, beautiful. Bold flavors all around, but not overbearing. Licorice and coffee, chocolate malt are all present. A very clean imperial stout for its thickness.

courtesy of markwise. Pours oily black with beige/mocha head and thin golden lacing. Aroma malty with a strong chocolate nose. Taste, thick mouthfeel, lots and lots of chocolate with a faint touch of spices in the middle with thin bitter chocolate. LA’s version of Stone RIS? this is a fine beer.

Nice thick, black looking brew with a creamy, fairly dark brown head. Inviting, heavy aroma of chewy caramel, liqouricel and medium roasted malt. Mouthfeel is full and creamy with generous well balanced flavour of chocolate, caramell, liqourice and medium roasted malt. Perfectly balanced without sharp edges but perhaps with a slightly too simple flavour profile, still extremely yummy

Bottle. Medium high creamy and long lasting brown head. Pitch black body. Mild roasted malt aroma with choccolate and hops as well as alcohol. Alcohol present but not doo dominant. Lovely dry and bitter choccolate flavor with some bitterness as well. Low carbonation and a long aftertaste.

75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small chocolate tan head. Roasted malt, coffee and mild chocolate acidic and dry aroma. Dry and hard roasted malt flavoured with an extreme bitter chocolate note leading to a hard roasted malt acidic note as the dominant impression. Yet smooth and dense chocolate and malt flavoured finish. Powerful and simplistic, I lack some depth here - but flawless.8-4-8-4-15=3.9

From bottle, Papsoes blindtasting #20. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Dense malt, roasted and chocolate aroma. Sweet and light dextrose like flavoured. Nice viscous mouthfeel. Roasted and breadish with a distinct deep/dark chocolate note. Mild acidic and vague chalky note into a dry and chocolate flavoured finish.8-5-8-4-15

The pour was motor oil black. Gorgeous chocolate head. Aroma was of chocolate and some roast and dark fruits. Flavor was much the same, plums dates chocolate. Beer was overly sweet needed a better hop balance.

750ml bottle that is marked at 11% ABV. Solid black color with a decent brown head. The smell is very nice malted milkballs and chocolate. The taste is not far behind, sort of sweet and I am actually surprised that the high ABV is pretty well tucked away. I thought this was supposed to be a belgian type stout but it seems like an American RIS to me. If you are into stouts you will not be disappointed by this beer, recommended.
