Commercial Description:
The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Bottle. Black pour with cocoa colored brown head. Aroma is light cocoa, light roast and some milk. Flavor is some sweet chocolate, minerally roast and coffee. Alcohol is slightly noticable as well. Some raisens and pit fruit are also noticable. I liked this one.

This poured black in color with a thick, fluffy head of fine brown bubbles. The nose had a stone/mineral component followed by rich chocolate, coffee and a touch of dark fruit. In the mouth it was full and rich but balanced by the wealth of carbonation.

Big corked bottle. Holy schnikes this is huge. Thick and dominating, this beer grabs your attention and does not let go. I should have split this bottle with someone as it thoroughly kicked my ass.

Jet Black, 2 fingers of head. cascaded for 2+ minutes. Looks awesome! Very dirty cream colored head that stick to everything! Overwhelming Plum, chocolate and coffee. Sorry I have to drink this now. WOW, Coffee, Bittersweet chocolate and Roasted something I can’t place. Wow I need to taste more. It’s a smooth bitterness of chocolate and coffee. Really an amazing taste! The taste alone will remind me each and every time I see this beer to grab one! Creamy like buttermilk with a light carbonation but nothing too overwhelming. The creaminess lingers a little bit after the liquid is gone. I could drink this till I had to call it a night. Drinking these it would be a quick night. I want to keep the glass attached to my lips so I can enjoy the flavors overwhelm my palate.

Corked bottle. Almost black and opague, huge head. Cream, dark chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Roast, dark chocolate, alcohol and coffee in the flavor. A very big stout in all aspects. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Delicious!

Brewed in the USA !!! Pours a black color with a lasting brown head. The aroma is of brown sugar, chocolate, molasses, and malts. Taste of chocolate, roasted malts, smoky wood and mild hops. The mouthfeel starts out zesty, foamy and oily. The finish however is dry and well balanced. This is a wonderful imperial stout from Lost Abbey.. :) Get some !!!!

Pours jet black with a dense brown head of tiny bubbles. Roast malt, leather, cigar, bacon, coffee, chocolate and charcoal in the aroma. Huge is not a big enough descriptor for the roasted malt. It hits like a sledgehammer. Smoked bacon, dark chocoalte, cocoa powder, and coffee are also there en masse. Nice alcoholic warmer at the back. I could drink this all night.

750ml bottle shared by BeerGestapo. Thanks Mike! Pours dark black, impermiable by light, topped by a semi-lasting brown head. Smells of licorice, dark chocolate, treacle, and a touch of alcohol. Tastes of bitter chocolate, anise, burnt sugar, with touch of smoky earthiness. A huge beer with presence to spare in the mouth, thick, oily, coating, but with a sting of carbonation. Has a long dry, roasted finish with a touch of alcoholic warmth. Very good stuff.
