Commercial Description:
The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Had on tap at the San Diego Fair’s beer festival. Pours black as night with aromas of dark chocolate, roast, coffee, sweet vanilla. Taste starts out super rich and sweet, and then on the end you get a nice roasty, bitter kick ass stout. Insane and very tasty~

bottle courtesy of BOLTZ7555, thanks Jason! Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, dark dried fruit, molasses, and wood. Just fantastic. Black hue with an above average sized brown foamy head that left good lace. Flavor is sweet and roasty with espresso, chocolate and finishes a little sour and cloying. Palate is very full bodied and lively. Lingering aftertaste and cloying mouth feel. A fantastic brew that smells and looks fantastic. It does loose points on palate and finish but not that much. Too carbonated and a little too sour and cloying to be perfect but this one is close. I thought for sure it was going to be a 5 out of 5 after I had poured it and smelled it.

Pours black into a snifter. Fluffy mocha head with excellent retention. Boozy chocolate and sweet espresso aromas. Creamy and boozy with a smoked chocolate from front-to-back.

An almost perfectly black color, only the smallest hints of brown seem to peak through. Aroma is hugely roasted, with some dried fruits coming along. Some chocolate notes on the finish.

Courtesy mgumby10, thanks Mike. This poured out an oily, black color with a small tan head thats fades quickly. The aroma shows dark chocolate, some roasted malts, and some dark fruit as well. The flavor followed suit with the dark chocolate and some roasted malts as the most present. The chocolate is almost creamy which adds body and sweetness to the flavor. Medium-full bodied with a nice oily feel that goes down smooth with a slight alcohol burn. Some dark fruits and figs are picked up in the finish. This was really good, but not quite with the upper level imperial stouts.

Bottle: Courtesy of cmr1517...pitch black pour with a minimal tan head. Has a really intense nutty espresso nose to it with notes of dark fruits and chocolate. Medium-full bodied...some black cherries and mocha notes lend themselves to the flavor and don’t relent one bit...finishes very smooth and silky. Good brew.
