Commercial Description:
The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

bottle@Noogfest4.0-pours a retaining thin brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt, chalky. Taste is dark malt-tar, bitter/acidic. Not my style.

Bottle at impy stout blind tasting at bdigi66. Medium sized light brown fizzy head that mostly diminished, opaque, no visible carbonation, and a black hue. The aroma was roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, some dark fruits, and hops. Very nice indeed! The flavor was roasted malt, dark fruits, alcohol, coffee, and lightly hoppy. Delicious indeed! Mouthfeel was tingly. Medium bodies. Very quaffable impy, absolutely delicious, left me wanting more and more and more, definitely worthy of a try as it will be time and money well spent! Hats off to the brewer(s) for this fine beer!

750ml bottle from Capone’s. Shared with cdog69 on the OBX trip. Pours black with a big brown head. Lots of raisins, dates, and prunes. Some tar and tobacco. Beef jerky comes to mind. Very robust flavor. Beefy. Fruity. Lots of roast and bitter dark chocolate. Thick and rich, with lits of carbonation. Dry with a long finish. Big. Bold. Brash. Wonderful.

Bottle @ ORL throwdown, courtesy of mgumby10. Pours black with a thick brown head, nice lacing on the glass. Roasty malts, chocolate, and coffee on the nose. Malty, roast chocolate, coffee, and a little fruit in the flavor. Malt sweetness was nice, not overdone. Hops coat mouth in the finish. This was great on the palate with a fair carbonation and a touch of acidity to dry the finish. ABV well hidden, didn’t drink like it was 11%.

I have been looking at this one for more than a month, and finally I could stand it no longer. The temptation was too much to bear. Pours out a dark black color with a tan head. Perfect pour. The smell is fruity with dark fruits, plums, some coffee, chocolate, caramel malts, hops, just damn near perfect, but not quite. Perfection comes in the taste, which is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Very smooth and rich, an explosion of flavor. Coffee, chocolate, damn, so many things here. Perfect mouthfeel, plenty of carbonation which is typically a rarity with an imperial stout. This beer is fucking awesome. The good news? I have more. The bad news? I only have 2. Drank this one alone. By myself. Solo. Faced it. And I have no regrets. The next time I drink this I will be sharing it....... maybe.

750 ml bottle shared with my wife. Pours a dense black with a moderate, luscious chocolate brown head that lasted through two-thirds of the glass and left a coating of lace with each sip. Surprisingly light aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is another story. Wonderful chocolate liqueur, coffee, roasted malt, and a hint of prunes, all meld together beautifully. Absolutely delicious. Rich and full bodied with some light-moderate bitterness at the finish. Really, really good stuff.

Bottle (750ml) shared at ’Biegaman’s Second Annual Saison Tasting’ -- courtesy of grub. Pours black with an average size lasting frothy tan head and good lacing. Nice aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, grassy hops, dark fruit and some alcohol. Flavour of dark roasted malt, Belgian yeast, chocolate, hops and a decent bitter finish. Some alcohol present but it works for the style. Quite carbonated, medium bodied. Very good stuff, how can I get more?

Bottle sampled with Mad_indian. Pours black with a large tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, dark fruit, and hops. The flavor is smooth, chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruit, and good amount of bitter hoppiness. Alcohol is well blended, great body, excellent brew.
