Commercial Description:
The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

750ml Bottle: Sweet aroma. Smells of chocolate and roasted malts. Poured black in color with a large, dense, dark brown head that lasted throughout. Opaque. Excellent lacing. Very sweet flavor. Tastes of chocolate, alcohol, coffee, roasting, and a hint of piney hops. Full body. Chewy, chalky texture. Average carbonation. Chocolaty, alcohol-warming finish.

I was very excited to see this beer available at a local store. Served cold from bottle. Pours a jet black with a large tan-colored head. Aroma is largely chocolate. Flavor is very bold, huge amounts of chocolate and coffee. The finish is somewhat bitter, there is a hint warmth from the alcohol. Good carbonation makes it easy to drink. Very yummy imperial stout.

Objectively speaking: Most competent imperial stout.
I like: Heavy mouthfeel is fully cerealic, almost chewy and with engagingly active carbonation. Typical imperial stout flavours, well-developed, far reaching in depth though not terribly complex in fruitiness, remaining focused instead. Alcohol is almost absent from the flavour profile.
I dislike: Impression of déjà vu, but definitely above average.

Bottle... Slap My Ass and Call Me Solan’s Mom O-Town Throwdown, Part Sept...This beer rocks!... Pitch black ale with a mid-sized, creamy, light brown head. Terrific retention. Big, rich notes of milk chocolate and toasted nuts (cashews and almonds) in the nose. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Medium burnt and bitter notes mingle with moderate sweetness and very light acidity. Lots of chocolate and espresso. The finish is bitter and chock full o’ coffee grounds. Thanks to mgumby10 for sharing this world class stout!

750 ml. bottle. Pours near black with a thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate, molassas, licorice, and roast. Taste is much the same with notes of dark fruit. Warming alcohol on the finish. Thick mouthfeel and medium -high carbonation. A big, impressive ,well-balanced beer.

Sample at the OTown Throwdown. Pours a deep thick black with a thick dark tan head. Fairly ominous looking beer. Chocolate malt, licorice, roasted grain aroma that was very addictive. Very easy to just sit and savor without even taking a sip. So I did finally take a sip and got lots of chocolate, roasted grain. Thick and chewy, yet possesses a nice carbonation. Dark fruit and chocolate finish. Really nice.

bottle, at Carolina Crew get together, provided by emacgee & aubreya. Good aroma, sweet & roasty. Choc/cocoa, licourice. Brownish black color, small head & minor lacing. Bitter flavor, roasty caramel, paper, raisin. Medium body, oily viscous mouthfeel, bitter finish. Nice, blind I might not of guessed imperial stout. Aroma didn’t come to me in a big way. Flavor was better than aroma, drinkable for what the abv is.
