Distilled vinegar and rice vinegar aroma, with a slightly spicy characteristic to it. This is a soggy beer, like an old wet towel, with some grapey vinegar notes towards the finish. Slight hints of anise come through. The balance seems a bit off kilter here, like this is ready to go totally off at any minute. I enjoy this, but it is flawed. It pours a cloudy orangish-brown with a small khaki head. The flavor starts with cherry, a hint of vanilla, and very faint vinegar. The finish quickly turns to tart cherry with a hint of oak. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. fonefan (11275), VestJylland, Denmark

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Same fancy and clasy bottle as Red poppy..now with a burning cross. Theese guys know how to wrap their stuff.
The appearence in the glass is moisty brown and muddy..not particular tempting and good looking.
The nose is sour as hell - almost to a point where the sourness is picking your nose, almost like real vinegar from the bottle.
The taste is likewise sour with a sourness like fresh green grapes with a light sweetness. its almost flamish sour that reach out for a lambic. The palate is buttery.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Entered to celebrate my rating number 13,200. Bottled. A deep red-brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet and acidic with notes of brettanomyces, acetone, lacto, wood, and lots of fruit. The flavor is acidic actually quite sour with strong notes of fruit and medium notes of brettanonmyces, berries - sour cherries, wood, and acetone, leading to a dry, tart, and woody finish. The acidity draws out the moutwater. Had it at the brewery, which is the rating that stands, and blind with a rating of 8/3/8/4/16=3.9 Papsoe (14904), Frederiksberg, Denmark
