Thanks to bu11zeye for the trade. Pours a deep brown with ruby/amber notes and a medium off white head with spotty lacing. Oh I forgot to mention...the cork jumped off the bottle like a shotgun, seriously lucky lose an eye. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel, whiskey, vanilla, nuts, oak, lightly roasted malt, molasses, tobacco and a little sugary. Flavor of dark fruits, toffee, nuts, whiskey, like oak, caramel, nuts, vanilla, a bit of alcohol and light roast.

375ml. bottle thanks to Toncatcher. Dark brown color with a small tan head. Lots of vanilla on first whiff, followed by the bourbon and some oak. Smooth bourbon flavor with some roasted malts and again some nice vanilla notes along with brown sugar. Warming alcoholic finish.

Dark brown colour. Plummy, slightly smokey with hints of wood. A little bit spritzy (subsequent samples were not, ftr). Spicy, with a bit of alcohol burn. Well-rounded. Three recent resamples have revealed some wonderfully rich malts, and a well-integrated bourbon accent.

Pour is deep brown with a thin tan head...aroma is not as strong as I would have thought...some bourbon and toasty notes...taste is sweet and seems super carbonated...some vanilla and caramel, but not much...hmmmmm.....

Pours a beautiful deep brown color dark and beautiful. The small tan head quickly dissipates slowly. Average lacing and surprisingly above average carbonation. A lot of barrel aged beers become flat. Not this beer. I appears to be bottle condition. Smell of strong bourbon and sweet roasted dark malts. Tastes of strong bourbon/whiskey, coffee, sweet roasted malts, coffee, and toffee. Complex and very tasty - This WORLD CLASS. Drink and Enjoy!

First of all, I am amazed at how many people have sampled this one. Secondly, my methods of procurement will remain a closely guarded secret. Thirdly, I sincerely hope that all eBay prospectors die in a fire. On to my review: Pour: Hazy deep brown with huge 4-finger tan head, a gigantic cork pop, and lacing that sticks more than a Freshman college chick dating a senior linebacker. Nose: Oaky, plummy malt, brown sugar, spicy yeast, mild hops, bourbon, port, blackberry Flavor: Initially oaky malty and caramelly, with plummy, blackberry, port, brown sugar, fig, mild cacao, but not tasting sweet, rather as a very well balanced oaky boubony beverage with the added brown sugary, malty, fig, and cognacy notes as subtle additions, and not as entitites overtaking the beer. Palate/Overall: The palate was as complex as I’ve ever quaffed, with intermingling flavors and an amazing balance. As I poured the last dregs of this, I briefly considered going onto eBay for another, but then I regained my ratebeer confidence and realized that I will never become one of those bottom-feeding scumbags, and I remembered that with the proper where-with-alll, I would see this one again. Still, if that is too optimistic, then I will see this beer in my dreams, right next to Christy Canyon.
