The beer in the glass is deep black, not very zippy, creamy head. Starts strong-malty, quite alcoholic, very complex with notes of chocolate and liquorice. Finish prickly-scratchy, still well balanced. Warming aftertaste. A great beer! Thanks to hapjydeuce for that bottle! vferg (16), Livingston, New Jersey, USA

Heavily carbonated as it blows the cork out, pours a deep mahogany with a lingering dark cream head. The nose is exquisite with subtle bourbon, candied and brown sugars, and a touch of butter. The flavor is equally complex with an additional burn in the end. Great beer. petematte46 (228), Dallas, Texas, USA

Aroma of bourbon, malt, vanilla, brown sugar and maybe some coffee or chocolate. Flavor is very complex, first the bourbon attacks then as it subdues you taste chocolate, oak, rasins, vanilla, figs. and caramel. The mouthfeel in this one is excellent with a nice soft warming sensation that melds with all of the flavors. I enjoyed this one quite a bit, yum! Blisscent (73), East Providence, Rhode Island, USA

Tried both Angels Share in the same week and see it as nearly a tie. Aftertaste lingers with an over powering carmel, roast chocolate refined with a sensible amount of oak and bourbon. The flavor kicks and leaves one with a memorable taste and no confusion of how good beer can become. Tweety (344), Vancouver, Washington, USA

Opened it, expecting a gusher, given what I’ve heard about the overcarbonation problems. Oh, given a second, the foam is slowly growing just over the lip of the bottle. I really enjoyed this one, with just some lovely vanilla bourbon notes and the maltiness of the base beer shining through nicely. andersand (394), Malmö, Sweden

Allot of caramell, vanilla, oak, dried fruits and a luxurious alcohol touch. Extremely well balanced and drinkable still so full of taste and character.
