Bottle@Dr.Bills. Poured dark red with a diminishing ring head. I should mention my handwritten notes are starting to diminish as well at this point in the night. Slightly sour aroma, but BIG on taste. I also wrote "made my teeth taste good".

Thanks to Chris from Liar’s for sharing a bottle. Pours reddish brown with a tart cherry aroma. Mildly tart cherry flavor with some fruitness.

Thanks to Wetherel for sharing. Bottle #42. Poured a deep red-brown color with an off-white head. The aroma was great. Tart and woody with great barnyard and leathery funk. Some mild alcohol fumes. The flavor was tart with a mild acidity. Semi-dry finish and lightly bitter. Light-medium body.

This Belgian Strong Ale pours a medium dark amber color from a 750ml bottle. Small head (nearly last pour from a bottle that had been open for a while). Aroma is dark fruit, wood and some funk. A medium bodied BSA. The malts are fruity and sweet, yet there is a touch of funk going on. Interesting blend of fruit and funk. Definitely different than the Veritas 002. Nice beer. Would like to sample this one again. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet and a touch tart.

From a 750mL Bottle, #42. Generously shared by wetherel. Pours a hazy ruddy amber color with a thin layer of creamy textured, wispy off-white head. Funky fruit aromas of sour cherries and gentle pinot noir tannins, creating a fruit profile similar to Cuvee, but lighter in texture and intensity. Some gentle oak and musty leather add some dry complexities, while a caramel malt and toasted biscuit combo creates a solid base. The nose is superbly balanced, allowing the malt, sour fruit, and funky brett notes to come through equally strong and important. Medium bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel with a mild acidity. Some caramel malt and brown sugar flavors up front, kept in check by a wave of tart cherry fruit. The flavors are remarkably similar to the last "blended" release of Cuvee, only less intense, but the presence of that beer is unmistakable. In a way, this is quite unfortunate, as it means the expectation for this flavor profile is prematurely set at a bar that’s raised far too high. As the flavors linger, the restraint on the tart cherry and oak character relative to Cuvee becomes more apparent, allowing a bit more residual sweetness to linger. Some leathery dryness is left in the final smack. On a broader scale, this is quite excellent overall, but the "Cuvee Light" aura this carries with it prevents it from reaching the next level. Thanks for sharing, John!

Many thanks to I believe Wetherel who brought this (Bottle 42) to the 2007 PP SAF:

The beer poured a muddy brown with reddish highlights with no head nor lace but was oily. The aroma has notes of lovely funk and cheese, sour grape and cherry, fig, woody and earthy. The flavor displays the same sour fruits along with notes of chocolate, sugar, cinnamom, and wood. The mouth feel is warming and oily with a shapr acidity. Lovely stuff, I dig it.

Pre SAF in Goldtwins room and a SAF. Bottle #42 received from Barrel tasting. Reminiscent of an aged, mellowed Veritas 002, and better tasting as well. Flat (ish) Redish amber color. A little sour aroma, but little or no funk. An illusion of sweet, even though it might actually be dry. Lots of oak aroma in the back of my mouth on the finish. 4.2-4.3
