On tap @ Patron Saint’s Party. Poured a dark brown with a slightly red-orange tint and a little ring of cream. the aroma was fruity but with a nice little bit of funk.. The mead was out front at first with a cherry-berry flavor, but with a nice roasted chocolaty finish. Very unique, I think my favorite of the night. I fish i could get more of this.

GABF 2007: Poured a hazy copper-brown color. The aroma was tart and funky with nice leather notes. The flavor was leathery, fruity and yeasty. Nice tartness. Dry finish and mildly bitter.

GABF 2007. Multiple samples on different days. The beer pours to a brown body with a creamy white head and nice lacing. The aroma is very unique with black raspberries, honey, chocolate, and wine. The flavor is sweet raspberry mead, vinous grapes, chocolate, raisins, stems. The palate is mead-like and really sweet despite the malts used.
