Corked bottle from Mashmaster, thanks! Tasted to celebrate the return of Ratebeer. Dark reddish brown color, pours a huge head. Oak, chocolate, mustard, caramel and a hint of raspberry in the aroma. Medium to full bodied. Slightly sour flavor with roast, dark chocolate, raspberry notes, vanilla and porto. Good complexity, lovely sourness and some stout notes. Excellent!

Heard this was a gusher so I chilled it down pretty well before opening. Had no problems popping the cork, everything went smooth as can be. Pours light gold in color with a very nice fluffy head. Plenty of tartness and sour tones in the taste. Besides the tartness, there’s a nice floral aspect to the beer as well. Light and carbonated in the mouthfeel. The Cuvee de Tomme is the dominant beer in this blend right now. Very good and a joy to sip. Easily the best beer of the night.

750, corked and baled. Thanks, Riverside! Murky bright amber. Thin, loose tan head. Huge tart lactic nose. Strawberries and balsamic nose. Creamy, medium, lightly carbed nose. Sharp lemon and orange pith mid-palate, along with caramel, strawberry, and balsamic. Long tart finish. Great stuff.

Bottle acquired via trade with explosivebeer or chicagodri (two bottles, one currently cellaring)...Brandon and Paul are awesome guys and great traders!!! Thanks gentlemen!!! Cloudy dark caramel pour produces a beautiful eggshell head with ample carbonation. Aroma is sour cherry, lemon zest, horse blanket, and balsamic. Flavor has a bit more depth to it...with toffee, leather, molasses and freshly spliced vanilla bean adding to the tart brett influence. It (the brettanomyces) is definitely displaying its mojo. Got more Cuvee de Tomme out of this than either the Angel’s Share or Amazing Grace. Medium bodied which left me wanting more!!! Mouth-puckering, jaw-locking, eye-opening complexity. Great beer!!!

Bottle (a gusher)… This beer rocks!… Murky, caramel-colored ale with a large, creamy/frothy, off-white head. Incredible retention. The malty, earthy, acidic nose is a mingling of brown sugar, vanilla, lactic funk and oak. Medium to full-bodied with spritzy carbonation. The sweet, mildly tart flavor offers alcohol and caramel alongside lesser notes of chocolate and dark fruit. Mildly sweet, moderately tangy finish with a pinch of salt. Hazy brown with medium beige head. Sweet and sour aroma with caramel, roasted malt, wood and berries. Flavor is sour with roasted malt, caramel, wood and berries. Ends sour. Lovely!

Deep amber colour with a tan head. Fruity tart aroma with notes of vanilla, oak and yeast. Fruity tart and light dusty flavor with notes of yeast.

Bottle shared at the CA-GA cultural beer exchange hosted by alexanderj. Deep burgandy hinted orange, with tan head. Aroma is sugary, light cherry skins, spices / yeast. Flavor is the same, yeasty / spicy aftertaste. The tart cherries are nice, but are mostly shadowed by the other flavors.
