Not sure who brought this to the RBSG 08 Grand Tasting but thanks. Pours a muddy brown color with a big tan head that leaves gobs of lacing. Aromas of brown sugar and spices. Flavor gets a big dose of caramel from Angel’s Share, an apple/banana fruitiness and spice from Amazing Grace, and a bretty cherry funk from Cuvee de Tomme. Very interesting and tasty blend. Very effervescent, full bodied and smooth.

~RBSG ’08~

Bottle at the Grand Tasting. Pours a brown murky red color. Cloudy, with a creamy head. Tons of lacing. Nice funk texture in the nose, caramel, some bananas. Fairly spicy. Flavors of raisin, caramel, chocolate, slight funk and banana. Crisp and refreshing, smooth and drinkable. Took a lot of the best combinations of the three beers and made something unique and enjoyable.

Corked bottle and served in my Duval snifter: Hazy purple ruby hue with a MASSIVE initial head due to carbonation and very nice lace. The aroma has notes of plum wine, cherries, mango, bourbon, oak and vanilla, some herbal hops and a hint of white pepper. The taste has a nice lacto twang and funk over a layer of fruity acidity supported by vanilla and Carmel malts. Bone dry oak barrel tannic finish. The mouth feel is very lively and refreshing for something this big, only slightly warming and boozy. MIKEY LIKEY and only wishes he could have more.

750ml bottle under extreme pressure. I’d like to apologize to Hopdog for soaking his ceiling. My reflexes were a little slow and for some reason I thought I could stop the geyser with my thumb. bad idea. Poured cloudy amber in color with a small beige colored head. Aroma of brett, cherries, dark fruits, vanilla, and wood. Taste is tart with fruits, cherries, oak, vanilla, and overall very complex. The finish was smooth, and the body was nice. I really enjoyed this one.

Big Thanks to Miver for bringing this to the last tasting. Pours a murky amber and high carbonation due to an explosion of the bottle- Chill this down and open over the sink!!! This one is definitely a solid blend of 3 great beers, so how could the end result be bad? This was great- aroma of super funky brett and other wild yeasts/bacteria, along with a nice aged woody aroma but not too oaky or vanilla-like. Nice founky flavor with some aged caramel malts, ligth oxidation, thcik sweet toasted adn deep caramel sharp malts, light acetic acid, even some ketchup, and some light oakiness. Good mouthfeel- smooth, high carb is nice in here- and a great lasting acidic finish. Nice blend.

Poured a lightly hazy purple brown color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of light brett, cherries, raspberries, some roast, a bit of cocoa, and vanilla. Taste of sweet caramel up front, some sour cherry, raisins, roasted malts, with some cocoa, vanilla oak, and light alcohol in the finish. Thanks Joe!

Bottled at Papsoes Blind tasting 19th. June 2008 no 25: Amber coloured. Unclear. Dense brown head. Brett, grapefruits, sourness, vanilla and oak in the aroma. Flavour of berries, fruits, grape, spice, yeast and wood. Complex and balanced. Full bodied. Dry. Woody sweetnes and sourness in the end. Very well balanced.

Bottle shared thanks to miver. Gusher alert. This one shot the cork out at 100 mph and soaked my ceiling. Poured a medium brown color with an average sized of white head. Aromas of cherries, tart fruits, yeast, oaky woodiness, and vanilla. Tastes of cherries, dark fruits, bourbon, oak, and vanilla.
