Thanks to miver for sharing this one! I’m pretty sure this thing blew a whole through a ceiling tile i the cellar. Pours a hazy brown with a medium bubbly off white head. Aroma of tart cherry pie, oak, vanilla, pie crust, dark fuits, earthy...pretty much can’t beat this aroma. Flavor was more earthy up front, toffee, tart cherries, vanilla, dark fruits, a hint of bourbon, some oak/woody notes.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of WeeHeavySD. Pours a very cloudy amber golden with a dense and creamy beige head that leaves a pretty lacework. Tart and fruity Brettish nose. Medium body, light berry-like notes, lots of wood and an astringent sourish finish. A very sophisticated brew indeed. 190608

Bottle. Papsoes MadsBerg homecoming blindtasting, bottle #25. Pours hazy deep orange to brown with a slowly collapsing light tan head. Medium dry lacto aroma. Flavour is nicely citric and bitter towards a bit mliky sour. Holds a medium dry caramel malt base that has a distinct citric bitterness lurking through. Dry citric finish. Dry woody into the far finish.

Bottle. [After party @ Papsoe, thanks buddy] Average fizzy white head that mostly lasted. Cloudy amber color. Fair display of lacework. Aroma of bourbon, wood, vanilla, toasted malt, dried fruit, vinous. Quit complex over the palate with vinous wood like as the domination notes. Quit lovely. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and somewhat thick texture. Moderated sweet flavor with some bitter and what appears as acidic notes as well. Strong wood and malty like finish

sampled with phoenix crew. graciously provided by sparky27... the big winner of the evening!

pours into my tiny (sad) snifter an ugly murky brown color with a light tan head which will not go away! lots of slimy drippy lacing coats the glass the aroma is a complex mix of wood, fruit and funk with a floral quality to it as it warms. lots of cheesy, cherry, funky cuvee dominates over the malty sweetness and light woody bourbon tones. i want to sniff this stuff all night! three incredibly powerful beers combine but are still allowed to shine individually in the flavor as well... so much so that i cannot even begin to describe it. i am at a loss. it is smarter and more profound than me...

Big thanks to Beerlando for sharing this. Poured a murky maroon color with a voluptuous head. Aroma is funky, woody, sweet, Bourbon-ish, some dark dried fruits as well. The flavor is more of the same, yet more refined and harmonious. I am at a loss describing this, but I know this, it is a damn good beer.

If I read the commercial description correctly, I am in for an incredible taste explosion, yeah? I didn’t get it. I got a soft hint of the Cuvee, mostly on the nose, and the rest was the Amazing Grace, which I have to assume, leads to this bitter and dry aftertaste. It’s not awful, but with those credentials hung out like a flag, I expected this to be more. Maybe even drinkable. This just did not taste good. I know my way around the sour beers and religiously stand in the Angel’s Share lines, but this must get more ratings on rarity than it does on taste. There’s a bitter note that doesn’t belong in this beer.
