Bottle. [After party @ Papsoe, thanks buddy] Average fizzy white head that mostly lasted. Cloudy amber color. Fair display of lacework. Aroma of bourbon, wood, vanilla, toasted malt, dried fruit, vinous. Quit complex over the palate with vinous wood like as the domination notes. Quit lovely. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and somewhat thick texture. Moderated sweet flavor with some bitter and what appears as acidic notes as well. Strong wood and malty like finish

Oct 7, 2008 Bottle (a gusher)… This beer rocks!… Murky, caramel-colored ale with a large, creamy/frothy, off-white head. Incredible retention. The malty, earthy, acidic nose is a mingling of brown sugar, vanilla, lactic funk and oak. Medium to full-bodied with spritzy carbonation. The sweet, mildly tart flavor offers alcohol and caramel alongside lesser notes of chocolate and dark fruit. Mildly sweet, moderately tangy finish with a pinch of salt. Sep 9, 2008 Hazy brown with medium beige head. Sweet and sour aroma with caramel, roasted malt, wood and berries. Flavor is sour with roasted malt, caramel, wood and berries. Ends sour. Lovely!

Sep 3, 2008 Bottle shared at the CA-GA cultural beer exchange hosted by alexanderj. Deep burgandy hinted orange, with tan head. Aroma is sugary, light cherry skins, spices / yeast. Flavor is the same, yeasty / spicy aftertaste. The tart cherries are nice, but are mostly shadowed by the other flavors.

Sep 2, 2008 RBSG 2008. Tart with a mild acidity. Fruity palate with a lot of dry esters in the finish. Hints of apple and tart cherry, faint spiciness, almost peppery towards the finish.
