Pours a light, hazy peach with a big fluffy head. Initial salty aroma heavy on lactic acid and a really earthy brett. Wow, flavor is awesome, just light-years better than Isabelle I think. Really earthy, musky, and a bit salty. Tons of brett. Has a little bit of that sweaty sock brett element. Really beautiful soft peach/apricot presence in there. Yellow Bus must be freakin awesome. Kind of overly salty and even meat-like at times. I think the geuze they are making either needs a lot more time or is just a bad example of the style. But this has a lot of really god things going for it. I’m just not completely crazy about the hollow, salty brett element from the geuze part of the blend. This beer is best drank alongside a plate of feta cheese. It really works through the hard salty element and lets the rich, sour light fruit notes shine. Beerlando (2319), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Feb 11, 2009 A major thanks goes out to hopscotch for sharing. Wow! This one is fantastic from start to finish. The pour yields a hazy, yellowish-golden color with a foamy, off-white head. Spotty lacing marks the glass well. A beautiful bouquet of funky fruit notes explode from the glass. Apricot is first to hit, followed closely behind by tart grapefruit and juicy tangerine. A dusty, funky yeast profile adds ample dryness, while lactic acidity and soft, saturated oak are there to bring focus and tie everything together. Flavors live up to the hype that the nose creates and then some. Sour grapefruit and tangy, dried apricot work wonderfully together. Oak asserts itself a bit more, imparting both barnyard funk and uncanny smoothness simultaneously. The yeast profile is dry and dusty, rivaling that of some of the more impressive Belgian lambics. Substantial yet delicate on the tongue, with acute carbonation and a puckering but balanced finish, even the mouthfeel is top notch. This one reminds me alot of Russian River Deviation, falling just short of its mastery. Everything about this beer is world class. Bockyhorsey (2525), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Thanks to Mike for breaking this open towards the end of the night. Another fantastic West Coast sour this one was probably the highlight of the evening. Considering the lineup that is saying something. If you happen upon this you should thank whomever brought it profusely.
Aroma / Appearance - Carbonated and honey colored the body sparkled with life. Sour pears, peaches, lemons, and zest wake up a tired palate. Intense and assertive it is not meek at all. Not for the faint of heart if you are a sourhead this is right up your alley.
Flavor / Palate - Tart, dry, and sour it takes the edge off anything that yu might have had before. Almost champagne like except for the sour bite it taste sweet as it washes across the tongue and throat. Other than the fact that I would be in lots of gastric distress I would love to drink beers like this all night. Another top notch release, Lost Abbey deserves accolades for this one. miketd (679), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 7, 2009 Bottle pours hay golden color with white head. Aroma is lemon citrus, acidic scent, and some funk. Flavor melds together nicely the sourness of the lemon and acid character with the sweetness of the malt in the brew. Funky, tart, vinegar, and some carbonation make this a damn fine brew. pantanap (1341), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Easy drinking with a gueuze like bite and Peach, Lemon, and Citrus flavor. Up there with Batch 1 Cable Car and Isabelle as the best yet from Lost Abbey.
