Unclear hazy medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, barnyard, rubber. Flavor is heavy acidic, vinegar and sour with a long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. We have this after having Russian River Temptation, Lost Abbey Isabelle Proximus and Girardin Gueuze Black Label, and I must say the Girardin beat the American breweries, they are all nice sour but they still have a long way to go to match the real thing ;o)) [20081230] argo0 (6897), Washington DC, USA

Yeasty farty aroma. It’s a sour beer. It’s a tad harsh, but it’s ok. Lemon squashy. Had this along with Russian River Temptation, Lost Abbey Isabelle Proximus and Girardin Gueuze Black Label and the Girardin beat the other 3 into a cocked hat. I like the fact that American breweries are playing around with sours, but they still have a long way to go to match the real thing. MesandSim (5833), London, Greater London, England

Hazy golden brown with a thin white head. Not the best smelling beer I have had from Lost Abbey by a long shot. A little too much funk and nappies going on. The flavour however is effing excellent. Sour and funky yet with an incredible creamy fruit hint. The CdT is definitely showing and for me thats a pan handle inspiringly good thing. Zesty and sharp yet strangely fruity and full. Clearly a blended product but clearly a good one too. Maybe a little straight forward but it does what it does so well it’s not really a problem. Amazing peachy notes really late on. Great length. Tasty as hell. Shame about the little number twos in the aroma. hopdog (5557), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a medium and cloudy golden/yellow color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of brett, woody, citrus, and fruity. Tastes of citrus, lemony, brett, funky, vanilla, and just all around ’greatness’. Had a nice tart and puckering finish that wasn’t overpowering. This one kept me wanting more...I must have more. Alround rating: Lots of barnyard, acidic lemon, very dusty yeast character, some old cellar, unfortunatly not clean and too much yeast. Needs about a 10th of the yeast. hopscotch (5475), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Murky, light yellow ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Good retention. The nose is a fantastic journey into everything sour, funky and fruity – cherries, tons of acidity, horse blanket, lemon and pale grains. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. So fruity and citric; so acetic; so acidic; so tart; so dry; so very nice. Eye squintingly sour, drying finish. Big-time thanks to giarcsr for shipping this bottle all the way to Florida from Carlsbad, CA (a wonderful town, btw)! CaptainCougar (5454), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of lightly sweet pale malts and lots of fresh oak and citrusy tartness. Body starts with good fullness and sweetness to balance the complex vinous oak and tart complexity. Finishes drier and crisp. Very enjoyable, yet assertive. This should age very well but has a great balance of sweet and tart flavors now.
