Using grapefruit instead of orange was an interesting touch. Reminds me more of a Victory Golden Monkey than of anything else in the Lost Abbey Family. Very small head. Only slightly hazy. Not impressive, not a beer to study, and surely not great bang for the buck. But enjoyable. sayravai (3733), Helsinki, Finland

Dry and slightly sour aroma with wheat, witbier spices, and some grainy barley. Slightly sweet flavor with lots of wheat sourness, clearly evident spiciness, and hints of caramely maltiness and cellar. Medium body with surprisingly low carbonation (wonder if the cork was tight enough, as there was no pop). A decent witbier with emphasis on wheaty sourness. Not worth the 20 EUR/bottle, though... seta18 (12), Boston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 5, 2009 Just had this summer seasonal, it is mid winter now. I thought this could have been a lot better than it was. Lost Abbey has several great beers, however this was missing something. It had good taste and aroma. But it did not finish well. It left an almost watery taste in my mouth. Bottle. alexsdad06 (1082), Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 4, 2009 750 ml bottle courtesy of WeeHeavySD. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma is citrusy, yeasty, grass, and light spice. The flavor is grassy pale malt, yeast, citrus, light spice. Thin with moderate carbonation. OK, but probably my least favorite Lost Abbey beer to date. mjs (1506), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 3, 2009 (Bottle -- shared with olutriippuvainen and Sinensis, thanks -- at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, on 2009-02-02) Yellow and cloudy. Small white head. Citiric acid and coriander in sweet aroma. Medium bodied and dry palate with medium carbonation. Mustiness, fruitiness, coriander, citric adid, bitterness and some grass in taste. When some yeast was poured in the taste went completely flat. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA

So sweet on the nose but balanced by wheat. So smooth and nice. Excellent beer. notalush (2669), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 27, 2009 Thanks to TheCheeseMan for this one - hazy, fizzy gold beer - nose of honey, wildflowers, wheat, tangy citrus - dry and lightly bitter up front - fairly light and crisp, with some wheaty character, light citrus peel, a little bit of tartness, yeast on the back end - this is lacking a lot of complexity for a lost abbey beer - it’s refreshing, but missing character. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Aroma is musty with a touch of flower. Nose is grapefruit, very dry. I like it! NIce dryish-sweet notes in there. Clean throughout. Not much to stick to the palate here.
