Aroma of earthy hay, wheat, and some light coriander spiciness. Herbal, menthol, some clove. Taste is herbal, sweet honey and the wheat grassiness. All the flavors are nicely integrated, though the overall effect is a bit subdued. Really didn’t get any of the grapefruit. cbkschubert (2020), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2008 750ml bottle. Pours a light yellowy, Bud Light color with a smallish white head. Expected a bit more head and carbonation for this. A lot of bubbles for in the glass and stick to the side. Head retention is relatively poor especially for the style. Aroma shows light malts, some banana. Don’t get any coriander or orange, just banana and a decent amount of it. Maybe some clove as well. Highly phenolic, some band-aid thrown in as well. Taste is doughy, bready, flat and boring. No acidity or citrus flavors. Not really thirst quenching. More boring than drinkable. A hugely disappointing rendition of the style. alraicercsu (166), Ft.Collins, Colorado, USA

Creates thick white heading were as the beer itself is a glowing yellow almost white liquid. My nose is gratified once I begin to sniff the aroma out because there are scents of lemon shavings, banana, and coriander. This is my second time drinking this beer and that’s because I didn’t enjoy it the first time around, but there is something bland and humdrum about the flavor of this wit. The flavor of this wit taste watered down, and by this I mean it seems as though ice cubes were added to my glass of beer then they melted into my beer. Anyways, I do find very light traces of coriander and lemon shavings but why they don’t come across stronger is out of my jurisdiction. AllAboutStout (605), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Pours a clear, light gold in color. No head forms on the pour. Just a bit of frothy ring around the edges. Smell is very yeasty and has a bit of smoky notes. Taste is highly carbonated, again with the notes of smoke. Very creamy and full on the mouthfeel. Decent and well done.
