Commercial Description:
Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

-ball stout (no corner pockets needed), pours a dark color with only a slight color variation if you tip your glass. A nice tan head that remains throughout the drink but no real lacing which is odd for a stout. The smell is strong roasted and all malt. Maybe some slight chocolate tones but really nothing exceptional. The malt flavor is dominate but not overpowering with a nice smoothness to it. More of a chocolate or coco flavor. Although there was a smoothness to the drink it was similar to say a milk stout but without that lactate flavor to it. If looking you can find hits of mellow hop flavors. Maybe for citrusy and a American feel to it. Easy to drink and has a full body to it. If nit picking, I would like to say that I would prefer more of a robust character, but for its style.

Bottle at home ... Thanks to TheCHeeseMan<\b> for this ... Deep black thin head ... quite thin ... light and easy ... quite milky creamy ... good robust roast malts ... After the Brooklyn i didnt expect this to hold up ... but its a different beast completly , but its almost as good in its field... and wonderfully complex and smooth.

~ Pours dark black with a reddish tint when held to the light. Creamy off white head that quickly diminishes. Decent lacing. ~ Scent of coffee, sweet malts, and caramel. ~ Strong smoked coffee flavor. Starts off sweet and finishes bitter. ~ Palate is creamy. Bitter finish. ~ Great brew. Lots of flavor and a good scent. Its light and soft enough to drink anytime.

Not quite as good as I hoped for. Don’t really get the "sweet" part of this, tastes like a solid stout. Pours black, very complex aroma. Slight cinnamon and roasted barley...smells almost like pancakes (weird). Flavor is very smooth, with lots of roast, a hint of coffee, slight chocolate and connamon. Malty aftertaste, slightly bitter.

Bottle: A near black pour is topped by a creamy brown head. Nose is rich with roasted and chocolate notes as well as licorice. Inviting aroma. The texture is silky and has a mild & creamy carbonation. Outstanding malt character. Richly roasted with a nice dark chocolate depth and creamy coffee character. The finish is slightly charred, bitter and a hint of licorice. Creamy, tasty and balanced. A great Stout!

Bottle. Black, creamy brownish head. Chocolate aroma, cocoa, viol and licorice. Chocolate flavor, some cocoa. I found it a bit thin...

Bottle. Aroma is milk chocolate, coffee. Flavor is roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee. Extremely smooth and a nice change of pace from all the imperial stouts that I’ve been consuming lately.
