Commercial Description:
Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

draft. Vanilla, roasty coffee, with hints of chocolate, creamy like aroma. Pours dark dark brown bassically black with tan head. Roasted coffee, vanilla and cream, very creamy, a robust hop bite, with a smooth malty finish. A good american stout.

Bottle: Poured a dark black with a crispy sounding light brown head. The aroma is sweet rich roasted to smoked malt, with a hint of chocolate. The flavor is sweet chocolate or dark fruit with a coffee like finish. I’m a lost for words, there is so much going on in this I can’t explain!

Pours a river of obsidian black into the glass with a rising dense dark tan head and full curtains of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, bittersweet chocolate and a hint of smoke. The flavor paralells the aroma with coffee and rich chocolate up front but with some dark fruits adding some sweetness and complexity. Texture is creamy and there’s a nice bitter hoppy kick in the finish. A well crafted stout and another fine west coast brew that never sees the sun rise over NJ.

black cola color and a small light khaki color head. coffee aroma with chocolate. great undertones of dark fruits and floral. light creamy velvet body. flavor is of coffee and bitter chocolate with some spice. There is a great hoppy undertone of oranges and flowers. This was definitely one of the best stouts i’ve had. It is not overly sweet or bitter, and there use of hops really adds a great layer of complexity.

A chocolate to black ale with a smallish, chocolate head and a bready aroma. The roasted malt and licorice flavor overwhelms the hops (and I do so like hops). Malty finish ends in coffee.

bottle. nice looking dark black stout that collects a brown head that slips away quickly. softly sweet smell with hints of roast and chocolate. nice full body with a taste that is solid the whole way through. fruity plums match with bitter chocolate and roasted malt while a slightly sharp carbonation and tingly hops balance every aspect of the malt character. awsome stuff.
