Aroma is chocolate, coffee, and sugar. Flavor is sweet mocha up front, but with an unexpected sour finish. Viscous body. A little too syrupy in my opinion. Great aroma and good flavor, but loses points on the body and the finish. zombywoof (358), Shawnee, Kansas, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Pours pitch black with a thin bubbly light brown head. The taste is very roasty, some coffee, dark malts, chocolate, and just a flutter of some hops. The taste is big on the roast and is medium bodied. It has a good dose of chocolate and coffee in the finish. The aftertaste is mostly roast, the mouthfeel is medium to full. Good session stout. very easy drinking and enjoyable.
