| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 28, 2007 Bottle. This stout poured so amazingly black that no light comes through at all much like a cola. A dark brown medium head tops off this beer. The aroma was heavy on the bitter chocolate and reminded me of grape juice. Strangely this sweet grape juice smell carries over in the flavor much like welches grape juice but also with hints of chocolate. A long bitter hop aftertaste. Not too bad... but that grape flavor was a bit strange for sure.
