May 13, 2007 Bottle. 12 fl. oz. Opaque, black beer with little, tan head that quickly dissapates to nothing. Sweet, roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Nice,balanced, dry palate. Flavor is sweet with a bitter, coffee-like finish.

May 10, 2007 650 mL bottle. Aroma of dark roasted malt, chocolate, and dried fruit. Silky full bodied palate. Sweet taste with a smooth bitterness at the finish. A decent stout.

May 7, 2007 Bottle. Pours black/dark brown with a one finger thick tan head. Aroma is very roasty with nice chocolate tones, as well as a bit of coffee, and even a hoppy touch. Flavor is much the same. Sweet roasty malts, bitter chocolate, and a bit of hops. Mouthfeel is creamy and slightly coating.

May 6, 2007 Bottle. Pours a flat black with a frothy, light brown head. Aroma predominantly a heavy roasted coffee with chocolate and molasses notes. Slick, soft, and creamy palate with a slightly bitter finish. Nice malty aftertaste. I liked this one.

Apr 28, 2007 Bottle. This stout poured so amazingly black that no light comes through at all much like a cola. A dark brown medium head tops off this beer. The aroma was heavy on the bitter chocolate and reminded me of grape juice. Strangely this sweet grape juice smell carries over in the flavor much like welches grape juice but also with hints of chocolate. A long bitter hop aftertaste. Not too bad... but that grape flavor was a bit strange for sure.
