Aromas of sweet malts and dry fruits. Medium full nectar w/ ample residual effers creates a velvety texture. Very nice. The flavors are so well integrated I don’t even know where to begin. Petite soured leather bursts throughout the sip like needles. Well I’d have to say the predominant flavors are dry bakers cocoa and leather in superbly balanced proportions. Other nuances include roasted coffee bean, black cherry, and a sliver of smoked maple. The finsh is bittered better than moderate but perfect. This stout rocks. Highly recommended. troopie (906), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 1, 2007 Aroma of fruit, oatmeal and malt. Slight bitterness in flavour and a hint of espresso. Bitterish and hoppy finish. I didn’t find this all that sweet, more of a cream stout. jrob21 (1278), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 30, 2006 Very nice subtle stout. Roasted malt aromas. Taste is sweet and slightly bitter. Reminds me of semi sweet chocolate and roasted coffee. Finish is bitter and sligthly thin which is a little disappointing. The sweetness sticks with you. swoopjones (1923), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 27, 2006 Really good, sweet oatmeal stout. Looks damn near black and really thick and rich. Light brown head, roasty chocolate tastes. EithCubes (2171), Indiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2006 Bottle. Strong chocolate and roast nose, subtle hint of lactose. A little light still allowed through the deep ruby-black. Light brown head. Very powerful roast and chocolate taste only intensifies for the finish and dry aftertaste. Delicious burny/burnt notes. Light hops and controlled bitterness. Creamy smooth mf with bursts of crispness, though the body’s a little thin. A great effort, really flavorful. Luscious. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Bottle. Poured a beep black with a thin, fizzy, brown head. The aroma was roasted malts and fresh baked bread. Flavor of chocolate, coffee, and a hint of fruits. Medium body that was sweet throughout. Coffee aftertaste. Enjoyable! sneagrams3 (1761), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Sweet anise, toffee and a touch of soy sauce. But not in a bad way. Dark chocolate and dried fruits. Full and vanilla sweet. Notes of coffee and toffee. Oily and rather slick. Nice and smooth with a mealy oatmeal flavor. Smooth malts with little hop presence. Tasty. Nice flaovr!
