Commercial Description:
Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

22 oz bottle. Pours a thick mud color with a nice creamy head that disipates slowly. Not to much to say for the aroma, mild sweetness with subtle hints of chocolate, vanilla, and oats. Flavor is a different story. I really like how balanced this stout is, nice creamy mouthfeel with tastes of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and a roasty toasted flavor. My wife who never drinks stouts, actually liked it. Not to heavy, nice balanced flavor, and a subtle bitter aftertaste.

Smooth and tight like a pool ball. It just seems this brewer/brew had a vision or achieved a nice harmony. I really like the beer and would have rated it higher if the aroma was any good.

Bottle from Total Wine. Pours an almost jet black with a light tan head. Nice chocolate and carmel notes. Tastes of coffee and roasted malt with a clean finish. Very drinkable, not an overpowering or heavy feeling beer. A very good stout, worth buying again.

Black bodied with ruby highlights under a creamy tan head that holds. Base of the aroma is grainy and unfinished, like a kit stout. Pruney dark fruits emerge with touches of coffee and chocolate. All of this converges in the flavor, but it still tastes like homebrew. Finish is bittersweet. Creamy mouthfeel is a saving grace. Don’t get me wrong, 8 Ball isn’t bad but I can make a similar stout for half the price (and I’m quite a novice).

Pours black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is sweet, milk chocolate and roasts. Flavor is roasty with hint of chocolate with some smoke and a nice bitterness. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy. A nice stout.

12-oz., courtesy BitBucket. Pours deep black with a huge surging medium brown head. Looks like a nitro widget got in there. Nice roasty toasty aroma but smelling this beer is definitely not an Olympic event--it’s fairly mild as stouts go. Nice chocolate, roast, toast, and a little bit of char from the attack through the finish; the finish itself is a bit dry and astringent but not dominatingly so. A solid if rather undifferentiated stout that I’d happily drink all day, but probably wouldn’t pick first in most lineups.

Bottled. Pours a translucent blackish brown with a fading medium brown head. Some lace. Roasty chocolate vanilla aroma. Medium, creamy body with light carbonation. The taste has chocolate, coffee, nuts and maybe a hint of molasses. Smokey and lightly bitter finish.
