Dark black color with a medium frothy white head that fully diminishes. Aroma of sweet molassas. Sweet caramel, molassas and toffee flavors.

Perfect black body with a minimal head. Good mollasses and malts in the aroma. Nice chocolate body, good bitterness. Ending is a very nice sweet flavor.

Completely opaque black color with big creamy light tan head. Aroma has fair amount of caramel, cream, touch of dry roastyness. Flavor is full of roasted barley and bitter malts, mild sweetness with a fairly stiff bitterness in the finish.

22oz - bottle date Dec 2004 - Aroma is roasted dark malts, coffee, and dark chocolate. Pours black with a small brown head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma with a nice creamy finish. Palate is tart and creamy with a bubbly mouth. A sweet and tasty stout.

Brown/black beer with a small bubbly head. Can definitely smell and taste the (strong) hops, but I also taste sweet vanilla and there is a nice roasty finish. The palate is slightly watery, but this is a very drinkable beer.

Really very dark with a reddish tinge. the head was very ephemeral, and too many bubbles streaming to the top. The aroma was mostly roasty coffee, though there was some floral hop notes and a little something lactic. The palate was a little sharp due to the fizziness with a bit too much wateriness to the body. I have to say the flavor is this beer’s strength. Good roasty tones accompanied by hops (which is a rare combo due to conventions of the style). There’s also some alcohol taste and 1 definite sweetness to the beer and a fine charcoal bitterness aftertaste. A highly drinkable beer indeed.

12 oz bottle, via puzzl. Dark black pour with a thin covering of light brown head. Deep roasty aroma with some coffee, black strap molassas, chocolate, and oats. Fairly aggressively hopped with lots of roast on the flavor. Finish is bitter and has lots of espresso and burnt toast. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation, mouthfeel alternates between creamy and oily with various sips. A decent roasty stout with moderate bitterness. One certainly worth trying.

Pours a jet black color with small brown highlights and a thick diminishing light brown head. Appealing aroma of roasted malt and black chocolate. Very enjoyable and pleasant flavor of roasted malt and black chocolate with a bitter finish. The body has a light to medium thickness with a dry texture and moderate carbonation. A very good and solid stout.
