Commercial Description:
Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

22oz bottle bottled Oct 04 via trade with robertsreality - Thanks Rob! - Pours black with a nice creamy mocha head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, a bit of smoke, and a touch of molasses. Flavor is rich milk chocolate, coffee, a little caramel and a touch of molasses. Nice medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Carbonated just about right for a sweet stout. Nice dry finish. A very drinkable stout that I could easily get used to. I liked this one..

Man this was a dark mohagany brew but opaque. Initail nose was rather smokey with roasted malts but I could also detect a sweetness . This is thin on the tongue but has a definite sweet smokey taste.

On tap at Quimby’s. Minimal head...maximum disappointment. Burnt grain is too much of a bite. Regardless of the description, the finish is anything BUT smooth. Classic group-think beer.

Bottle. Black, medium tan head. Sweet chocolate and wine like notes (maybe more just grapes) in aroma, which is very rich. Medium to thick rich mouthfeel. Robust sweet chocolate taste. Hops not present at first, but then offer a pleasant formidable bite. Short dry finish. Very robust at first, but really quite simple once you take a couple of sips - not complex or anything. A very solid stout.

Very black like an imperial, thin tan head. Aroma of coffee and toasted malt. Palate of hops, a little alcohol and little bit of chocolate. Very good.

On draught at Redlight Redlight in Winter Park, FL. Looked like a very hearty stout that was going to be heavy on the roasted notes. Instead, I got something that was rather sweet and creamy like milk chocolate but still retained some of that roastiness I had over-anticipated. I was disappointed to find that once I had really achieved a good sense of what this beer is about that I had also finished the pint. I quickly remedied that unfortunate circumstance by ordering a Sleepy Hollow (a black & tan) of 8 Ball and Shipyard Pumpkinhead (also on draught). Yummy!

Courtesy of Pailhead. Pours oily black with minimal beige head. Creamy milk and coffee aroma. Flavor is much the same with some bitter burnt grain in the middle. As it warms chocolate really comes through in the finish.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a spare diminishing light-brown head. The mild aroma was a letdown, it was milk chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt and somthing akin to an artificial sweetener which I did not care for. Flavour follows the aroma but with a little bit of hops added. It definitely improved as it warmed up and isn’t bad by any means but ultimately I found it a tad dissapointing.
