| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Poured from a 22oz bomber and served in an English pint. This stout poured a near black with some caramel colored hues around the edges. A thin head of tan foam quickly disappeared, leaving almost no lace. The aroma included mild roasted coffee and light milk chocolate. The flavor consisted of smooth notes of milk chocolate, cold coffee, a mild roastiness, caramel, then finished off with a neutral hop bite. The roast and some licorice really start to come through as it warms. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied but felt a bit watery on the tongue. Light carbonation. The flavor was really solid, but the beer seemed to be lacking in other areas. Still decent. mcd410x (13), Florida, USA

It was very smooth for being a stout and it didnt have that "bitter beer" after taste after washing it DOWN THE HATCH! But, 8 ball really surpirsed me with the flavor of the beer n it still gets u CRUNK!!! Nebulor (109), , California, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Pours just about jet black with maybe a tinge of an amber hue.
The smell is rich of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and some hop esters.
Sweet roasted malt taste with coffee and chocolate, kind of resiny with some crisp with some lime hop flavor.
Full bodied, resiny smooth yet crisp as in fresh throughout, great balance.
If I was to give this my own classification I would suggest this is a American Brewpub Stout style of beer. jjuf1853 (480), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 10, 2009 Bottle pours a pitch black color with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, and sweet pipe tobacco. Flavor has more of the same characteristics with the roasted malt flavor carrying through into a lasting aftertaste. A fair amount of hop bitterness makes an appearance in the finish. BeerGestapo (740), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA

Overall, pretty enjoyable and easy to drink.
