Nov 27, 2003 The color is black and it has a beutiful chocolate brown head though fast disappearing. The aroma is sweet and roasted with notes of coffee. The flavor is lovely starting out sweet with notes of roasted bread but then the stout flavors kicks in with notes of coffee and malt bitterness. It ends on a very dry note combined with alcohol running over the tongue. Thanks a lot to Alex (Fiulijn) for bringing me this fine beer.

Sep 26, 2005 Bottled. Transparently black, near no head. Leathery licorice aroma. Dry with some carmelly crystal malt character. Roasty and creamy with restrained hoppiness and medium bitterness. Enjoyable, but fairly straight forward.

Feb 26, 2006 (Bottle 65 cl) Pours opaque black with a creamy, beige head. Roasted, vaguely burned aroma. Rather light-bodied with an underlying sweetness and some burned accents that don’t leave much bitterness though. 240206

May 17, 2004 Black body with dark brown head. Roasty, chocolatey aroma. Long, roasty, toasty palate. Very rich, hoppy, enjoyable stout that reminds me of St. Ambroise.
