Creamy tan head. Blunt chocolate note with some faint hops. Slight roast. This is a well made stout and very good example of the style. Impressive.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 27, 2009 Bottle (in NZ). The nose just hints at roasted malt along with a hint of milk chocolate. However, offers much more, the big roasty dryness nicely balancing the sweetness from the malt; which has less of that chocolate and more of a licorice flavour. The astringent finish stayed with me for some time. I enjoyed this. Toxygen (366), Sanford, Florida, USA
