A full-flavored amber ale made with roasted caramel malt. Richly colored and medium-bodied, Alleycat is an assertive blend of malts with a sprightly cascade of hops.

12oz, no date. Pours a clear orange amber with a dissipating creamy light yellow head. Aroma is of some toffee and caramel malts, light citrus (grapefruit) and some nuttiness. Grapefruit up front, with nuts and caramels taking over through to a slightly dry, biscuity finish. LightThin bodied, moderate carbonation. A nice amber, and given the bland style, somewhat of a surprise.

Amber pour. Flavors of caramel, malt, and some citrus. Slightly bitter hop finish. Smooth mouthfeel. Nothing special.

Bottle poured a hazy amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel malt, light citrus and a hint of brown sugar. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of sweet malty goodness, a bit of orange and some doughy notes with a crisp lightly bitter finish.

A slightly hazy amber pour with an aroma of caramelly malt. A nice sweet malty flavor with a nice unharsh bitter finish. A nice smooth palate with just about the right amount of carbonation. A good beer.

Bottle. Pours copper with big off-white head. The aroma is bready with some Cascade hops. The flavor is grapefruit, some bread, some brown sugar, and a dry finish. Textbook amber. Nothing exciting at all, but quaffable.

On tap at the Yard House in KCK. Really not too good at all. Lifeless. Thin. Caramel and citrus, but hardly even there. Waste of my loot.

Bottle from World Markets Summer Pack Caramelly, citrusy malt nose; copper amber color with almost no off-white head; caramel malt flavor with a decent hop bite, lingering into the finish.

Bottle. Hazy, brown-copper with a small off-white head. The aroma has big oranges, caramel sweetness, and nice yeast. Clean orange hoppiness along with bread and caramel sweetness to balance. Seemed a tad thin at times but what was there was quite nice and drinkable.
