Commercial Description:
A full-flavored amber ale made with roasted caramel malt. Richly colored and medium-bodied, Alleycat is an assertive blend of malts with a sprightly cascade of hops.

The aroma is filled with nuts, spruce hops, and caramel malt. It looks nice also and has a decent size head. The flavor is really nice. It has plenty of caramel malt, nuts, and spruce like hops (just like the aroma). The palate is good also. I have not had too many Amber Ales that are memorable but this one is.

A decent and slightly unique take on this style. Hopped up and nutty, with some rich creamy malts and just a hint of spice, this is a great session beer.

On tap in Nevada City. Deep red with tan head. Good nose of caramel malts and floral hops.. Hops. nuts, and malts in profusion in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel. Touch of citrus in the finish and some bitterness. A sensible and very drinkable amber.

This beer has a nice healthy aroma of hops to its credit. The red oxide solution fails to produce more than a spotting of a head. The taste of this beer is a mild infusion of hops and dates that produces a mild tingle on the tongue as it is lingering.

[bottle - 12 oz] Pours a nice deep red color with a thin tan head. Roasty and nutty aroma with hints of sweet malts, candy and caramel. The taste begins with a caramel taste that gives way to a grainy and nutty middle and a slightly bitter but malty finish. Very watery.

22 oz bottle labeled bottle date January ’05. Poured a medium to deeper and lightly cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of roasted cashew nuts, light caramel and some citrus. Tastes similar to the aromas. Body on the thinner side.

Bottle (12oz). Poured clear bubbly amber with a large fizzy-foamy tan head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, decent resiny-citrusy hops, a whiff of vegetal grain. Taste is pleasantly mild - again the resiny hops (mild) and nutty malt - perhaps a little sweet. Mouthfeel slightly creamy, average body. Nice - drinkable (in quantity, I would imagine).
