Commercial Description:
A full-flavored amber ale made with roasted caramel malt. Richly colored and medium-bodied, Alleycat is an assertive blend of malts with a sprightly cascade of hops.

Amber body with a generous head. Aroma had some hops, citrus and nut hints. Flavor was the same with some caramel. An enjoyable beer, but nothing worth searching for.

Pours a medium amber color with a medium cream colored head. Medium malty flavor, somewhat earthy a touch buttery, low hop profile. Medium bodied, smooth. Uninspiring but decent.

Hops and malt and scant else int he aroma. Dark tea colored with a frothy white head. Water and mild hop flavor. A very vague and unpronounced malt flavor as well. It doesn’t taste bad it is just very one dimensional but not really in a pleasing way.

Draught. Copper color with thin head. Not much aroma; hint of caramel and hops. Flavorful with hints of brown sugar, caramel, and hops. Slight hop bitterness. Very tasty.

Bottle. Nice deep amber color, very clear with slight bubbly head. Wonderful subtle floral hops (a Cascade finish I presume from the commercial description) on the nose wafting on top of a solid malt sweetness. Medium to medium-light body, very smooth. Mostly a rounded light malt sweetness, toffeelike, with a slight hop bitterness toward the end, much like tea’s tannin. A wonderfully balanced, well rounded beer, and quite refreshing in a way that Ambers sometimes are not-- no tacky alcohol sweet aftertaste. I liked this a lot.

Bottle: Translucent amber, moderate to large sand colored head, foamy with nice lacing, very little carbonation.   Very subtle toasted malt character.   Malty start, semi-sweet, with a low hop profile.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Clean finish, very minor malts linger.   Average Amber, decent, on the sweeter side with very little hop presense.
