Smells of hop and fruit (i’m getting pears for some reason). Flavoring is light, yet lifting. Hops burst through in the aftertaste. Much better than I expected and great for its style. thegreenrooster (1835), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2005 Pour is a dark red with a small white head. Aroma is malt aroma and some oily hops. Flavor is a malty caramel with a touch of hops for a nice mouthfeel. Maybe a bit watery but good for a session. GonZoBeeR (2161), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2005 Hazy amber with a small off white head. Aroma was malts, toffee and a hint of tea at the end. Slightly sweet caramel malt taste, without much of a pronounced hop presence. Soft carbonation. If this was set in front of me at a blind tasting along side certain bocks, I would be hard pressed to positively identify it as an amber ale. Bockyhorsey (2528), Mesa, Arizona, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2005 Pours amber/orange color. Mucho sediment floating around. Sweet hoppy aroma. Caramel and malt aromas lingering. Malts dominate the flavor up front. A little bit of hoppiness as well. Kind of sweet as well. desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 15, 2005 Amber body with no head. Aroma is lightly citrusy, with some sweet maltiness. Flavor is dominated by grapefruity hops, very nicely done, balanced somewhat by a sticky maltiness. Well, it’s really not all that balanced, but I like it that way! Nice quaffer.
