Flavors of sweet malts lead into a pale ale-like fruity, hoppy character. Finishes with a malty chocolate flavor. Pretty tasty. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Muddy amber color, thin, brief beige head.
Aroma: an all-malty affair, minor floral hops, mostly caramel and a touch of toffee, with a glimmer of fruit. sweet and appealing.
Taste: more of the same from the aroma, save for a hoppier bite appearing on the palate that fades back until next we sip. A bit of roastiness, too, but, again, it’s all caramel and some fruit, a bit of apple and apricot, masked in sweet candy goo and sprinkled with hops.
A nice, juicy, tasty quaffer. Easy drinker, ’nuff said..except that I like the cartoon cat on the label, he looks like a tough little kitty...probably needs a stronger beer in that mug...or maybe he’s just getting started...something bugs me, though...I can dig the hat, eyepatch, ring in the ear, but why’s a cat gotta wear a shirt? That’s just silly!

Its been in other beers, think in the hops. Clean orange amber color. Small head. Bitter flavors, malty. Carmel and sour. Though I can’t place what it is. Thinner body, litely creamy mouthfeel. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2004 Amber color with a stable two finger head of bone colored bubbles. Smells like an amber, with lightly toasted malt and hint of herb/grassy hops. Fairly dry with a touch of malt swetness mid gulp. Decent balance early with malt and hops well mixed. Drys out and gets a bit woody in the finish. Just another amber brew, drinkable with few faults and little more. IndianaRed (1560), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 22, 2004 Bottle pours a deep brown/amber with a fizy off-white head that settles down in a hurry leaving very little lacing.. Aroma is of deep roasted malts right up front and some hops that are trying to peek through. Flafor is quite sweet, and bready or biscuity. The hops a barely a player here, as the malts and sweet flavor is dominant. Feel is nothing special. After taste is a slight hopy/woody taste. Volgon (2489), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2004 Nice clear amber color with a light malty nose. Very watery mouthfeel with a light maltiness and a single sharp hop! flavor that fades just as quickly. Pretty good, but it seems lacking.
