Commercial Description:
A full-flavored amber ale made with roasted caramel malt. Richly colored and medium-bodied, Alleycat is an assertive blend of malts with a sprightly cascade of hops.

Bottle pours a deep brown/amber with a fizy off-white head that settles down in a hurry leaving very little lacing.. Aroma is of deep roasted malts right up front and some hops that are trying to peek through. Flafor is quite sweet, and bready or biscuity. The hops a barely a player here, as the malts and sweet flavor is dominant. Feel is nothing special. After taste is a slight hopy/woody taste.

Nice clear amber color with a light malty nose. Very watery mouthfeel with a light maltiness and a single sharp hop! flavor that fades just as quickly. Pretty good, but it seems lacking.

This is up there with boont amber as far as quality and balance in an amber ale. Great malty caramel flavor and aroma balanced perfectly with hops all around. I think many people dont like ambers- and Im not crazy about them either- but it is good for what it is.

Nice looking reddish copper body, but barely a head at all. Decently hopped and sweet aroma - it smells great. The flavor isn’t bad either, but the body is a little thin, and it finishes too thin. The finish has some ashiness to it, that isn’t altogether great.

Interesting aroma of caramel and hops, the combination works surprisingly well - quite sweet up front, with lots of light fruits (cherries, strawberry), that combine with light grain and a slight hoppiness, giving this, at times, a flavor that is almost like a childrens’ breakfast cereal - slighty crisp, dry hop finish - smooth, medium bodied - not bad at all.

Their amber has the piney hop flavor of Indica that is chewy as well. Easy drinking with a little sweetness in front.
