Commercial Description:
A full-flavored amber ale made with roasted caramel malt. Richly colored and medium-bodied, Alleycat is an assertive blend of malts with a sprightly cascade of hops.

Meh. Decent amber, much better out there for the money. Some hops in there, strange feel going down. Overall? Lacks character, not bad, but not that good. OK.

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with nice white head. Aroma is hops, citurs and caramal malt. Flavor is hops and citrus with nice roasted and caramel malts. Pretty good amber. Would but again.

Tasted @ the Loast Coast Brewery in Eureka.
Amber/copper colored brew. Nice session amber ale.

Nice amber body with a beige head that leaves a decent amount of lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel, brown sugar, and malt with just a touch of hoppiness. A bit thin on the palate and slightly oily. The flavor fairly mimics the aroma. Sweet and smooth. Caramel and corn. There’s a hint of citric hops in the back that doesn’t quite make an appearance. A very drinkable beer that doesn’t have a lot of personality.

Fairly good session Amber, and a good intro to the style. A little thin on the palate, but the malt, carmels, and hops come through in the flavor, with the malt taking the lead role. I liked that the label is a nod to the Garbage Pail Kids of the 80s, but that’s really my biggest compliment to this one. Tastes fine and is drinkable. Nothing wrong here.

The "amber ale" style is usually a pretty boring one, if the beer was more exciting it’d be a pale ale or some other style. However, this beer did not disappoint; I found it to be pretty interesting. It had a gold-amber color which was clear but not brilliant. Head was plentiful and laced. Aroma was hoppy with a bit of DMS (canned corn) aroma. Flavor was also hoppy with some maltiness anda noticeable amount of butteriness (diacetyl?). Mouthfeel was appropriate. All-in-all, pretty good. I would recommend this beer. I bought this bottle at 3 Cellars in Franklin, WI.

Copper pour with an off white head, i get mostly hops from the aroma, the flavor is more malts than hops but a nice balance between the two, this is a nice amber ale definitely one of the better ones i’ve had.

Bottle. 12 fl. oz. A dark amber color with light tan head. Nice lacing. Hoppy nose. Medium body with a fairly soft texture. Flavor is sweet caramel malt with a dry, hoppy end. Not bad, just pretty typical.
