And they won a gold at the GABF? This is a wonderful brew, dark cherry in color, wonderfully smooth with and almost perfect malt/hop blend. You can almost chew this wonderful beer. I hope they keep it all year long. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 24, 2002 Barley Wine Fest: Toronado. Deep amber, cloudy and dim colr. totally headless. A bit doughy in the nose, some salt, thick, worty, softened hop finish. Tasted a less yeasty sample that was better. July 2001, tap, Eureka, CA. Malty aroma on alcohol vapors, fairly still, multidimensional malt, sweet and hoppy and with appreciable punch! Very nice. Shadallion (526), Sacramento, California, USA
