This was a nice full bodied nut brown. The color was rich, with a light head that disappeared quickly. I thought that it had a strong roasted flavor and coffee aroma. Not my favorite but I am glad that I tried it.

Fairly dark for a brown ale, this beer features a slightly off-white head and a malty, caramel aroma. The taste is a bit nutty and sweet, though the beer seems a bit thinner than it should. It’s a good example of the style, flavorful enough, but not exemplary.

Pours a deep brown color, with little head. Aroma is malty. Taste is very thin. A little sweet, definite nuttiness to it. Not the best brown ale.

650 ml bottle. Dark copper brown with a fizzy head. Malty slightly roasty aroma. Smooth slightly roasty taste with a mild sweetness and decent nuttiness. Not bad overall.

I was hoping for something a little more robust. Pretty much dead on the tongue. No carbonation and a bit too sweet for a brown. Not my cup of tea, but a smooth drinking ale nonetheless.

One of the premier brown ales out there. I measure browns against this one. Slightly sweet, but with great hop balance.
