Pours a dark brown with very little head. Smooth and malty, some caramel, hints of chocolate and nuts. Finishes with a nice litte hoppiness. Not a bad brown. juiceisloose (678), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2007 Poured a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Has hints of coffee at first follwed by some chocolate, nuts and roasted malts. It is a medium bodied beer with tastes of coffee, some chocolate, and a little nutty flavor as well. It was pretty thin on the palate and the carbonation and hops came in the aftertaste. I didn’t care for the tingly feeling it left behind. Overall it is pretty decent brown ale. nearbeer (1887), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Aroma is mocha, slight raisins, and sweet-n-sour. Taste is toasted nuts, mild dark fruit, molasses and some nice sour notes, maybe some slight chocolate and coffee. Palate is pretty smooth with some hop bite, and sour acidic tingle. bubbleflubber (903), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 7, 2007 Nice pour shows a deep walnut/chestnut (not quite opaque) with a decently retentive tan head and sticky weblace. The nose is sweet, of caramel malt and confectioner’s sugar. The flavor is nicely reserved, yet well-integrated, with subtle malts, nut bitters and light hops. Unfortunately, the finish seems a bit too dry-hopped, resulting in a startling "non-integrated" back palate. The mouthfeel is nice and medium-round. Overall, a very nice offering indeed. Well one might start by saying that it’s very good. Then one might go on to say he tasted a little bit of nuts. It was a little toasty too. It welcomed me in like a nice old lady who is really only trying to be nice so she can get you to eat and become fat so she can cook you for dinner and feed the leftovers to her pet tiger oscar. But that would be silly to say all that. GeneralGao (3081), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

Head was off white and reduced over several minutes to a thin film. Smelled of molasses, chocolate, and toasted bread. Sweet on the tongue with caramel, light milk chocolate, and toasted bread flavors. Decent brown. MrBeer (276), Erie, Pennsylvania, USA
