| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 26, 2006 12oz bottle-pours a fizzy, foamy, quickly dissipating light brown head and dark brown color with red tint and particles. Aroma is dark malt-molasses. Taste is dark malt-molasses/chocolate, secondary hops. Not my usual, but nice occasional. OK carbonation. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2006 Poured reddish brown, not much head to speak of. Aroma is muted. Flavor is caramel and nutty, with some roastiness, perhaps some chocolate. Hops are mild and piney. OK/average beer. chimpscampee (566), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2006 I’m not a huge brown ale person. This one is like many others: a bit of chocolate taste, nutty. It’s doable. screigh (262), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 5, 2006 Poured brown with a slight hint of red. I can see light trought this beer but it is quite hazy. No head at all. Not much aroma but maybe some metal as mentioned by other reviewers. While I like this there really isn’t much to describe. A decent brown ale. I don’t get any hops or bittering other people descibe. I don’t get any creamy mouthfeel. Its actually quite watery and not at all complex. While my review might sound bad I rather like it and find it quite drinkable. Might be a good entry level beer for the micro novice.
