65 cl bottle. Dark reddish amber colour with a weak head. Aroma of nuts and toffee. Flavour of caramel and toffee too, also notes of light hoppyness. Little average and dull.

Poured a clear dark brown color. Malty and fruity aroma dominated by toffee and apples. Toasty malt flavor. Fruity with an acidic finish.

Very roasted caramel and crystal malt nose. Good conditioning and balance with a bit of nuts and pralines on the palate. Crystal malts lend a slight iced tea character leading into a lingering roasted finish.

Good brown, but too thin and timid to be anything better than that. Some obvious nutiness and roasted carmel malt and toffee notes. Thin body detracts somewhat.

Downtown Brown pours a dark brown with a small head. It has a light body but has a bit of nuttiness. It’s just Ok, but it fill the "light brown ale" it claims to be on the label to a tee.

A lot darker than I expected a brown ale to be, minimal head. Had a coffee finish to it, otherwise roasty. As I like stouts, this was a good thing. It’s good, but I can’t really think of any kind of person to recommend this to.

Pretty dark cloudy reddish brown color. Small light brown head. Strong aroma of coffee. Flavor is of a coffee bitter which is slightly metallic, some earthy notes, the tiniest bit of fruit, finishes with a burnt toast flavor. Somewhat dry, and very bubbly on the palate (a little unpleasant). This is another one of those expired bottles that was on sale at Sam’s.
