bottle. opaque brown-mahogany body with a short-lasting creamy tan head. aroma has mostly chocolate and almond/nougat properties. carbonation is quite high and it seems that this beer is quite watery most of the time. it’s bitter up front and leads into chocolate malt flavour. thin and uninteresting. par.

Chocolate, malt nose, mahogany, slim tan head, some lace. Malt taste, with a little chocolate, and nutty. Liight bodied, bitter. Fair.

Bottle courtesy of Degarth. Aroma quite roasty and nutty. Pour was brown with a nice thick tan head which made me think it was closer to a stout at first. Flavor was nice, smooth malts with a nutty background. Palate was nice, even and smooth. Overall this was good with dinner.

Murky appearance with aroma of malt and toffee. Enjoyable flavor with notes of toasted nuts. Very enjoyable.

[bottle - 12 oz] Murky brown pour with a thin brown head. Sweet and malty aroma with some caramel and chocolate. Sweet taste as well. Lots of malt and caramel with a slightly roasted chocolate finish at the end. Could be a little less watery though.

(BJCP Class) Strong malty nose with almost no hops to the aroma. A good dark brown off porter color. I get a hint of Carmel and Chocolate. A good beer to style and slight hops flavor. I like this ber but it needs more malt or hops either one to add to the flavor.

Cola brown, not much head or lacing. Feels a little thin, refreshing and malty, very mild hop flavor. Finishes well. Beer of the Month club.

probably the best brown ale i have ever had. Poured a dark brown color with a thick slightly off white head which had decent retention. Caramel malts on the nose mixed with some hops and yeast notes. Taste was mildly sweet with caramel it had a slight roasted coffee taste in the background and finished with a mild hop finish. A real smooth drink.
