Has the flavors of nuts, dark malts, and a sweet finish It is a little off, but still good. I had it on draught a while back and I think it was better than the bottle. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 3, 2005 Very dark brown color with barely any head. Barely any aroma but what is there is chocolate & roasted malts. Flavor chocolate but thin and it has a slight bitter aftertaste. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 14, 2005 Draft... Clear, dark ruby ale with a small, creamy, white head. The nose is subtle chocolate, red wine and vanilla. Nicely balanced and a bit tangy. Nutty with chocolate and vineous notes. Medium-bodied and very lightly creamy with lively carbonation. Finishes creamy and barely bitter. Not much to it, really.
