Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Thin body and mouthfeel. Flavour of toasted and sweet malt lingers. Good but not excellent. Tom Servo (424), Arlington, Virginia, USA

Maybe I’m spoiled after having Rogue Hazelnut Brown, but the flavor really left something to be desired. Had a nice dark brown coloring, and absolutely no head. Light, nutty aroma, with a hint of chocolate. Again, the flavor was a disappointment, but not a bad beer. maltdog (518), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 9, 2005 Beer bottle brown, dusky red when held up to the light. Small tan head. Mild aroma of maple malt, milk chocolate, and peachy fruit. Flavor is weak- mainly some pleasant fruitiness, just a trace of chocolate milk and peanuts. Light palate, but I wouldn’t call it watery. Faint cidery tart aftertaste. A dark mild, but not a brown. Evokes absolutely no reaction... it’s just there in the glass. Stunningly neutral. IslandHaole (1035), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 8, 2005 A cola looking brew with a small beige head. Nutty, roasty & caramel scented. Sweet & nutty with a slight bitter follow. Has "Club Soda" like carbonation that is somewhat distracting. Still a good beer. MarkBarnes (269), Waterville, New York, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | May 25, 2005 Updated: May 30, 2005Poured a deep brown with garnet highlights when held to light. Beer had a 1/4" head that receded quickly to form a nice ring around the edges. Malty/bready aroma with some caramel present. Mouthfeel was light and almost watery. Taste had some roasted sweetness along with hints of chocolate and caramel. Finish was watery and rather unimpressive. Bockyhorsey (2554), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 17, 2005 Had a dough aroma of bread. Dark brown body with head that was gone in thirty seconds. Flavor was watery at first with somewhat of spice flavor on the finish. Watered down too much for me. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2005 Pleasantly roasty, sweet, malty aroma, some caramel and nut along with some lightly toasty, bready notes and faintly fruity hoppiness. Deep, clear red-brown color with a fine, lasting head. Flavor profile is toasty and gently bitter to start, some citric hop showing through, turning sweeter and maltier and finishing with some dark, sugary sweetness, faint cocoa and lingering nuttiness. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel, light-medium bodied. Enjoyable.
