| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Reddish brown, light to mid brown cap that was small, bubbly and lives on as a ring. Fluctuating chocolate strength, mild coffee, so-so..., slight leaf and a touch metallic. The taste is watered down. Some chocolate, light hops can be found, maybe a bit of zesty lemon, a bit of pepper. Boring. Pretty easy drinking though. unclemattie (2432), Georgia, USA

Short 12oz twist-off bottle . Dark brown color. Tall, rocky, light tan head. Appearance of a light colored porter.
Aroma of Roobios Tea. Light crystal malt. A hint of grass. Flavor of toasted almonds and a touch of cocoa. Smooth and creamy. A bit heavier bodied than expected. I like it. I think the slight tweek could add a bit more complexity. Add some cocoa powder and maybe a hint of chipotle for some hidden heat, might be fun...

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Orange-citrus and piney hops up front in the nose but lightly roasted malts do come through with a caramel and mild chocolate character. Is sorrel or chestnut in color, very appropriate for a "nut brown ale". Sweet and nutty with hints of burnt caramel and a chocolate finish. There is the faintest note of acridity lended by roasted barley. Oranges come through pleasantly in the flavor as well. Bitterness is spot on. A solid beer that could be a tad dryer. travita (1952), Frisco, Texas, USA
