Commercial Description:
An American version of the Belgian style. This unfiltered beer has a striking translucent, golden color with white clouds. Seemingly a contradiction in terms, it has a full body mouth-feel but is surprisingly light to drink. Topped with a hint of citrus, provided by Coriander and a secret blend of Humbolt herbs, this beer is slightly sweet and a delight to drink in any season.

Slightly cloudy yellow pour with some bubbles and a thin whtie head. Aroma of lemon and coriander with lesser notes of wheat... kind sour. Unmalted wheat, lots of lemon & coriander flavor. Slightly waxy, crisp and pretty light like a soda. Good, very drinkable, not memorable.

glass into bottle, also draught. pours light golden, very little cloudiness, no retention to speak of. aroma is citrus, a little bit of hoppiness, and wheat. taste of tart apples and lemon spreads thin over palette. a little bit of honey aftertaste and mild hops. flavor dissipates quickly. overall its ok. not really a repeat buyer though.

Thin white head, poor retention. Citrus aroma dominates, notes of artifical fruitiness. SLightly opaque white tinged golden yellow; Americanized wit beer appearance. Wheaty tang followed by a sweet fruity flavor reminiscent of peaches and melon. Slight coriander flavors make an appearance. Marred by a decidedly artificial characteristic to the fruit flavors. Very smooth and drinkable, moreso as warming dampens the sweetness of the finish

Pours a lightly hazy yellow with a fluffy, rocky, white head. This may be the clearest witbier that I’ve ever seen. Dusty wheat dominates the nose with light citrus and faint Juicy Fruit notes hiding in the background. Light bodied and thin with subtle carbonation, it finishes clean and lightly dry. A soft wheat front is followed by a bit of citric bite and just a touch of mild spice (something like a faint grains of paradise) at the finish. This is a decent thirst quencher. There’s nothing really "wrong" with it, at all. It just suffers from being a bit unremarkable. If you’re looking for subtlety, this may be your kind of wit, but if you prefer something with a bit more to it, I’d look elsewhere.

Slightly hazy golden yellow, moderate head with some lacing and retention. Aroma is bubblegum with notes of sweet malt, wheat and a touch of coriander. Medium to light body, quite sweet. Moderate to high carbonation. Pretty enjoyable.

I am a little surprised that this one ranks so low. Not the best beer in the world, but I thought it was a fairly good brew. Pours yellow, thin head, with thick lacing. Body is pretty thick and chewey, different from most ales. Dry and bitter on the finish. Pretty refreshing and sneakily strong. Just 4.8, but it warms you up. Flowery taste to it. Not nearly as bad as a lot of people apparently think. I’d have it again.

Bottle from Sam’s. Pretty disappointing orange golden pour with no head or lace. Nose is almost non-existant. Wow, this stuff tastes horrible. This going down the drain. Im shocked that I liked the AB product of the same style more than this. I hope this was just an old old bottle. Smells kinda skunky and just tastes like ughhh.

Aroma is skunky, just like a Corona. Appearance is cloudy. This is probably due to the yeast and the wheat. You can see chunks of the yeast floating around in it, probably because it is WAY over carbonated. Flavor starts off like a Corona; skunky. Picks up some citrusy flavors and finishes moderately well with some maltiness, probably from the two row barley. On the palate it is far too carbonated. I’m not sure diet soda has this much carbonation. Maybe I just picked up a bad six pack of this stuff but its not my favorite. It’s far too carbonated so you miss so much of the maltiness that should be there from the 2 row barley. It’s light struck (skunky), so you miss the herbs that should be in there as well. Maybe this really is ale yeast as it says on the bottle, but it really doesnt taste like many of the ale yeasts I have tried.
