Commercial Description:
An American version of the Belgian style. This unfiltered beer has a striking translucent, golden color with white clouds. Seemingly a contradiction in terms, it has a full body mouth-feel but is surprisingly light to drink. Topped with a hint of citrus, provided by Coriander and a secret blend of Humbolt herbs, this beer is slightly sweet and a delight to drink in any season.

Poured to a golden color with a slight orange tint and thin white head that dissipated quickly to little head or lacing. Initial aroma of wheat dough and spices faded as beer warmed. Mouthfeel was slightly tinlgly, yet not what I would expect from a white. Unfortunately, the dough and spices in the initial nose were never present in the taste, and the finish was short and slightly stale. This beer started out better than it finished.

(Re-rate 9-29-07) I must admit that after having this again and realizing this was my highest rated beer before - I think I now understand that when I first had this beer at the City Beer Store in SF - I was partially drunk and I heard the words "female brewmaster" (or something like that), then it all went up from there. Now, after having it again, while sober and at home - I must say it is still really good but not the best thing I have ever had.

Very subtle smell with hints of fruit. Hazy golden color, and can clearly see the sediment. Little to no lasting head. Taste is good, has flavor and is the only thing that reminds me even slightly of a Belgium White. Nice, crisp finish with good carbonation. Well developed but simple and not over-the-top. Enjoyable and easy to drink. I’d be happy to have another! A couple extra points for sentimental reasons (a bit girly, I know!)

Light cloudy yellow golden color with a fruity wheat smell. Nice sweet wheat like spice. A good all around refreshing easy drinking beer, that kind of like a cross of a Kolsch & Wit beer. Completely unlike a traditional wit, which for me is perfect, as I hate the yeast used in them, and is a style I normally don’t enjoy. This one is easily drinkable, and milder flavored. Enjoyed equally well on a rerate and the only beer classified as a witbier I’d ever want to touch again.

Poured a hazy yellow color with small fizzy white head. Aroma is banana and dough with slight lemon. Flavor is bananay and slight lemon wheat. Overall, just so-so.

Poured golden color, lots of carbonation bubbles rising to the surface, fake soda-like head sitting on top, weak lacing, as it remained only within 1cm of the head the whole way down. The aroma was spicey ginger and a touch of wheat. The flavor was ginger, coriander, sweet wheat malts. Too malty sweet. Mouthfeel a little to thick for the style, a touch of spicey zingy mouthfeel was the only neat thing about this beer.

Bottle. Bright golden color that is a bit hazy with particles floating around and a white head. Sulphur like aroma with some wheat and citrus flavors too. Light bodied with a dry finish. The flavor is a bit acidic with citrus hints and spiciness. Pretty good, but nothing extraordinary.

Rated 6/30/07 on tap. Cloudy gold color with a small white head and some lacing. Citrus aroma. Flavor was wheat, citrus, apricot, light fruits, spices and honey. Not overly sweet, like too many in this style are. Very refreshing. Nice witbier.

Very drinkable, citrus dominates, very mild compared to what was expected, fruit dominates, not much else, slight yeast. would be great on a hot summer day! Thanks to my buddy Jason for the brew!
